Deux touristes de l'Hôtel écrivent à propos de nous...
...the Hotel is newly remodeled and therefore clean, pretty and very quiet (due
to brand new sound sealed windows). All rooms have a private bath, AC, new beds
that are (hallelujah) comfortable, night lights that actually work, lovely cool
tile floors, even good drapes that actually shut out the light so the jet lagged
traveler can take a nap. Best of all are Henry and Giorgio, the two tireless
guys that run the place. They are a fount of useful information and will do
anything to make you happy. They helped us make phone calls, gave us a great
map of the city (free) and marked out all their favorite walks and things to see,
they got us a seat at the "locals" restaurant that is right in front of the
hotel, made recommendations for other places to eat in town, had advice about
where to go at what time of day so as not to miss out on the action.......on and
on. They were great. The hotel is located just outside the main tourist area so
it has more of a local flavor and it was great fun to sit at the coffee shop
each morning and be a part of the neighborhood morning ritual, rather than
sitting in some hostel with a load of other tourists. They are a 5 minute walk
from the Metro and a 10 minute walk to the Vatican. We paid 90 euro per night
which is a bargain in Rome right now. I really can't say enough good things
about this place. I hope you will give them a mention in your book, these folks
deserve it. They are going the extra mile and staying with them was a big factor
in our enjoyment of our trip.
Sincerely,
